Make-Up Tools; Choosing the right tools for you and keeping it all in budget

There are a million and one make-up tools in the market. Do I need them all? Do I need any at all?

Although you can often get by just using the tools given to you for free, i.e; your fingers, however not all products will set as well because of their texture. As the weather begins to heat up you'll probably want to move on from your pressed powder foundations and use something that gives you that dewy, fresh look. In order to achieve your desired look there are a few tools you may want to invest in so we'll just go straight into it!

You're best pal this Spring/Summer will most definitely be the beauty blender. Always use a damp beauty blender and press or use a stippling action to blend your foundation starting from the centre of the face (usually where you need most coverage) working outwards blending well along the jawline and under the jaw. You can also use it to blend in cream contour colours. BEST TIP: Use the pointed tip to get into the hard to reach areas. If you happen to apply too much bronzer or blush go back to the beauty blender to blend it in to your foundation.

The All Over Face Brush is designed to ... well be used all over the face. Powder down the centre of the face, pinch the bristles to powder under the eye or to apply bronzer along the hollows of the cheek. This is what you call using the tools you have at hand to their full capacity. BEST TIP:  Build up your bronzer rather than slapping it on dark. You don't want to get to the point of no return and then have to remove all your make-up off and start again.

To keep your brows and cat eye on fleek you will definitely be needing this bad boy. The dense bristles and angled shape is perfect for achieving sharp and precise angles so even those of you who aren't too make-up savy can get professional results. BEST TIP: Hold the brush horizontally against your eye using the tip of the brush to start at the inner corner of the eye and then flatten it out as you reach the outer corner of your eye. Flip the brush to then create the perfect flick!

Some are blessed with extraordinary lashes that are full, long and curled at just the right angle. For the rest of us not having this little ingenious tool is simply sacrilegious. BEST TIP: Give your lashes a good curl before applying mascara and remember to clean to curler to prevent build up from drying. No cross contamination or conjunctivitis here!

Trying bolder lip colours? Or simply want that clean edge? A bullet doesn't always give you the control you need or precision to get that beautifully shaped cupid's bow or crisp shape. Always line your lips to help the colour last longer and use a lip brush to apply the colour straight from the bullet. BEST TIP: You can also use this brush to run concealer around the lip to sharpen your lip look as it is just the perfect size and shape.

So that is our Top 5 Make-Up tools to help you achieve the perfect look while keeping it under budget.
