Easter's over can we still use pastel colours? What are good transitional colours?
The typical pastel colours we use around Easter time are baby pinks, blue and yellow. Of course there are a lot more shades in what we call the 'pastel' category and while we are still in Spring and the flowers are just begging to grow and bloom you can definitely continue to use pastel or creamy colours.
Nailwear Pro+ in Sea Breeze and Luxe Lavender |
While pastel colours can be quite demure it doesn't mean that you can't add a touch of glam to your manicures. Avon have recently introduced some very nifty items my favourites being the Magic Effects Diamond Shatter Top Coat - infused with reflective flecks - Magic Effects Fringe Effect - beautiful confetti pieces - and the Matte Top Coat - instantly creates the illusion of a matte colour when applied to any Avon nail polish. There are also some great tools and decorations such as nail gems, foils and sprinkles. Check out the tutorial below!
Ok so we've got Spring sorted but what about Summer? How and when?
Before jumping into the bright neon and bold reds and pinks you can try corals and blush pinks. Almost as if you're warming up to Summer. Both the Nailwear Pro+ and the Speed Dry+ Nail Enamel have great colours for Summer to bring a pop of colour to your life and everyday mani.
Avon Glow Nailwear Pro+ in 'Flaming Orange'. |
Great examples would the the Avon Glow Nailwear Pro+ nail polishes in the colours 'Plush Berry' and 'Flaming Orange'. In case you want to really up the ante Avon also has a great selection of Nail Art Design Strips. Use them on all of your nails or just one. My favourite's 'Birds of a Feather' which has a dark base with a delicate ostrich feather painted on top. Check out a tutorial below for the lovers of everything pink and shiny!
For the more adventurous there is a particular method the 'marbling' effect which you can achieve by using a Nail Decorations Tool or buy dropping some nail enamel into a cup of room temperature water and then swirling the colour before placing your nail face down into the water. If you feel like having a go check out the tutorial below!
Whatever you decide to do make sure to have fun!,
