Avon Campaign 09; NEW MEGA Effects Limited Edition Mascara Review

It looks different but what's the actual fuss?

Well for starters the MEGA effects mascara continues to hold its own as there are no other mascaras out there that can compare. It's pocket sized, somewhat flat and very portable. You could definitely fit it into your back pocket without getting that uncomfortable feeling whenever you sit down.

I did experiment with the original MEGA effects mascara which originally came out two years ago. The packaging remains the same except the colour is a hot pink. This limited edition can also boast a waterproof formula which before could only be found in Avon's SuperShock and SuperExtend Supreme mascaras. 

What makes it so different?

Besides the complete ideology revamp there is ... nothing. The formula is still the same, albeit waterproof which is nifty for times when you really don't want it to budge, it is literally the receptacle which has changed. The brush itself is the pot of gold in the whole bundle. The handle has little grip bubbles that make it easier to hold onto and the brush end is bendable which means you can set it to the right angle just for you. This alone makes it unique enough that it is almost inadvertently made to each woman's specification. 

We've all been there when you've spent ages getting just the right cat eye or the smokiest smokey eye and then you go and smudge your mascara. This brush offers you the ability to avoid doing that if not at least minimise the amount of times you do that. Using a brush that has a flat handle allows you to hold the brush vertically against your lashes as oppose to horizontally. This lets you get to the inner and outer corners of your eyes catching even the smallest or most trickiest of lashes.

All in all I really like the formula which doesn't dry too fast and therefore clump when you attempt to add another layer and the brush is an absolute godsend. With the new waterproof formula you would be an absolute numpty not to grab one for yourself. Whether you keep it in your back pocket, make-up bag or travel kit it will definitely be a Spring/Summer 2015 essential.
